Opportunities for life-long learning

About NBCA

The North Belconnen Community Association Incorporated (NBCA) provides Early Childhood Education and Care at two locations in the West Belconnen area, as well as Administration Support throughout Canberra for other Early Education and Care Services.

NBCA is a not for profit Community Association, incorporated in the ACT under the Associations Incorporation Act 1991 (AIA).

NBCA had its formal beginnings in 1977 as the North Belconnen Community Child Care Association.
An elected voluntary (i.e. unpaid) Management Committee runs NBCA in conjunction with employed staff from its two Early Education and Care services and the Administration Support Unit.

Committee members represent a broad base of early childhood educators, advocates and caregivers of young children. Committee members are voted in at each Annual General Meeting or recruited throughout the year as required.
